For the 2000 CAN-AM TOP 5 selection we used the same scoring method as for the TOP 25. However, to qualify a boat had to start in each of the three international events that we have selected: Southern Straits Regatta, The Swiftsure Races and Whidbey Race Week. These events tend to draw at least 25% of the entries from both sides of the Canada/USA boarder and present a good opportunity for boats of both countries to get together on the race course.
