Cockpit with transom locker removed takes a lot of weight out of the back end for racing. Helmsman has easy access to the two part mainsheet and traveler right in front of the pedestal. Wide sidedecks make cockpit a bit narrow but you shouldn't need a lot of people there to sail the boat. Large wheel makes it comfortable to steer from either side.
