![]() With seven of the 10 qualifying series (races) run, we’re fast approaching this year's races for the Top 25. For those that have already qualified, there are three more races to solidify your position or move up. For those that have just raced three or even two of our qualifiers, there are three more chances to qualify for the overall Top 25. We’ve posted two lists; one is “If Ended Now,” which means that if we stopped right now, this list of boats has qualified with four complete series, and this is a compilation of their four best results. The list on the facing page is taking the three best races so far. As you can see, there’s quite a few more boats on the brink of qualifying and even placing in the Top 25. On each list, along with the point score, there is the average class size. This way, if boats are tied on points, the boat who has raced against the most boats gets the nod for that place. Example, Bifrost 3, Pegasus, Wicked Wahine and Flash are all tied with 8 points each. However, the average class size is larger for Bifrost so they are placed ahead. So, with three more races to go, there are lots of chances to move up (or down). Good luck and sail fast! Once again Brian Watkin’s Express 37, Declaration of Independence is atop the lists, but this year he’s showing a few chinks in the armor. He’s got his four bullets and averaging the largest class size — there’s a good chance he’ll make it, but it’s far from a lock. With Stuart Burnell’s J-109, Tantivy, only one point behind DOI, and Greg Slyngstad’s J-125, Roxanne, only two points back, this should go right down to the wire.
